Karen's practice is devoted to all aspects of alternative dispute resolution. Her mission is to solve family law conflicts using an interest-based approach in a supportive environment. Specifically, since January 1, 2011, Karen's practice focus is in four areas of alternative dispute resolution: (1) she serves as a parent coordinator/arbiter in which she makes decisions on issues involving parenting plans and joint legal custody decisions; (2) she mediates divorce and modification disputes, with or without attorney involvement; (3) she arbitrates family law issues, essentially providing private adjudication in any family law matter; (4) she determines discovery issues, divides property, or decides other family law disputes as Special Master by court appointment, usually by request of the parties and their attorneys. Karen also provides second opinion consultations; legal advice and coaching for those representing themselves in family law litigation; and expert opinions in legal malpractice cases involving family law. Please contact Karen by phone or e-mail to discuss her practice focus in greater detail. |
